A collection of paper botanicals made with intention, to honour the fleeting beauty of nature and hold meaning that lasts.
Here you’ll find some of the work I’ve had the joy of creating, from meaningful commissions to personal studies, a way for me to observe something rare, seasonal, or endangered. Each one is made by hand, with thoughtful detail and a deep appreciation for the stories flowers can carry.
You’re welcome to explore, and if something resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
Wild Rose (2024) Hand-dyed crepe paper & mixed media - One of my earliest paper botanicals for my daughter, made before I called myself an artist, but now I see it as the seed that started it all and the beginning of my return to making with my hands.
Single Rose (2024) Crepe paper, hand-dyed with avocado dye, and mixed media - Made as a quiet study in shape and balance, a way to return to the basics and focus on just one bloom.
Photo 1 - Poppy & Bud (2024) Crepe paper, hand-dyed with avocado dye, & mixed media - An exploration in paper and movement in the different stages of bloom.
Photo 2 - Poppy & Bud (2024) Crepe paper, hand-dyed with avocado dye, & mixed media - An exploration in paper and movement in the different stages of bloom.
Daffodil (2024) Hand-dyed crepe paper & mixed media - Modelled after daffodils growing in my grandmother-in-law’s garden. This piece was a way to study a familiar bloom more closely, and quietly honour where it came from.
White Tulip Study (2024) Hand-dyed crepe paper & mixed media - A practice piece exploring different methods and techniques to create form and texture.
Two Dahlias (2024) Hand-dyed crepe paper & mixed media - A technical challenge, with hundreds of individually cut and shaped petals. It took time, precision, and patience to construct.
Paper Bouquet (2024) Hand-dyed crepe paper & mixed media - A gathering of some of my floral pieces, each made at a different stage in my practice. Brought together here as a study in floristry.
